Film & Media Classes

Spring classes run from April 11 to May 19.

All classes held in The Addy on the 3rd Floor of Proctors (432 State Street, Schenectady, NY 12305).

Film & Media for Students 11–13

Filmmaking I(Every Saturday 10 – 11 a.m.) This class is an introduction to the tools and techniques of cinematic production. Students will become familiar with using video cameras and editing software to create artwork of their own. Students will also be introduced to various film genres such as documentary, experimental, and fictional narrative, and think critically about the creative process. No previous video experience is required.  Instructor – Beth Tsai

Film & Media for Students 14–18

Filmmaking/Editing II  (Every Saturday 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.) This class will present students with various theoretical, technical, and creative methods of cinematic production. Students will be introduced to methods of production planning and design, as well as advancing the technical video skills of cinematography, sound recording, lighting and editing through Adobe Premiere Pro.  Instructor – Beth Tsai
