Broadway Camp Jr.

Is the stage your home? Join us at Broadway Camp Jr., a one-week workshop and performance concentration that is sure to hone your skills! Broadway Camp Jr. includes workshops in acting, vocals and dance all with a focus on having fun and becoming the best performer you can be. Meet new friends and learn in a safe space where you can feel free to explore your creativity on stage. Students will get a headshot for future auditions and a showcase for family and friends at the end of week!

Carmen Vass (instructor)  Having lived and worked in 3 different countries (USA, UK, GERMANY) as a professional performing artist. Working in the London West End, UK & International Tours and Broadway Tours as well as working with the BBC on various TV shows. Carmen’s credentials include understudy and performing Carlotta in 4 Phantom of the Opera Productions:  The London Brilliant Original, The 25th Anniversary at The Royal Albert Hall, The Spectacular UK Tour and Broadway North America Tour.  

Being a versatile performer, Carmen encourages students to broaden their range, break through boundaries and develop a holistic approach to the performing arts! Vocal Coaching, Acting coaching, comprehensive character development, improv, theater business, Theater Tech and production organization. 

The secret is we are all born as unicorns. However only a few own and wear it fearlessly.   

Dennis J. Clark (he/him) is an adjunct in the Theater Department at Utica University and a freelance Director/Choreographer and Actor. He is a proud member of Actors Equity and an associate member of SDC. He was the first full time Artistic Director of the Ritz Theater in Sheffield, AL. Dennis has also taught and directed shows for the Walnut Hill School For the Arts and Stagedoor Manor. He also serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors for Fort Salem Theatre Co. As a director and choreographer Dennis has been involved with theaters across the U.S. including: Riverside Center, New Harmony Theater, Cornwell’s Dinner Theater, Fort Salem Theater, Ritz Theater, The Starlight Room, Players Centre for the Performing Arts, Naples Players, Venice Theater, Swift Creek Mill, Richmond Triangle Players, Sheboygan Theater Company, and Crown Uptown Dinner Theater.
