Acting Academy

A place where imaginations can run wild, and self-confidence is promoted, Acting Academy is an after-school program that fosters an environment where students are welcome to express themselves while learning about the world of theatre! Acting Academy strives to create a safe space for students to explore and expand their minds in a personal and professional manner while learning skills to use in and outside of the classroom. This program culminates in May with a performance of a junior version of a popular Broadway show.

This program will focus on: 

Acting 
Improv 
Theatre terminology
Voice expression and tone
Physicality 
Careers in the arts

and much, much more!

Acting Academy is offered to Schenectady City School District students in grades 6–8.

Program details:  The program occurs 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday when school is in session.  

Program begins: Tuesday, October 11, 2022
Program ends: Thursday, May 4, 2023
