Spend your summer with the School of Performing Arts at Proctors and theREP! Whether you’re interested in Dance, Filmmaking, Acting, or Special Effects Makeup — there is a program for everyone, ages 7-19.
Programs run from July-August and range from putting on a full-scale production of a Broadway show to a two-week intensive filmmaking program where you’ll hone your skills behind the camera.
The School of Performing Arts at Proctors hosted its first ever HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL THEATRE AWARDS for New York’s Capital Region in partnership with The Broadway League on Saturday, May 20, 2017.
Fashioned after Broadway’s TONY Awards, this ceremony will celebrate the achievements of the region’s theatre students, highlighting the importance of arts and theatre education.
Educators, industry professionals, and theater experts reviewed productions at registered schools, nominating participants in categories such as Best Ensemble, Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and more!
The winner in the Best Actor and Best Actress categories will go on to represent Proctors and the Capital Region at The National High School Musical Theatre Awards competition in New York City.
